Cardinals Bordeaux and Tamburo announced today through Archbishop Finn that The Church had uncovered members of the criminal esoteric sect “The Claws of Apophis” within the ranks of its clergy. The Inquisition was convened at 3 AM in New Orleans with the arrest of several Priests and Nuns by members of Dextra Deus and Inquisitors from within the church. The prisoners were brought before a tribunal and all confessed to heresy and attempting to undermine the Law of God.

The crimes included were mostly of an Esoteric Nature, including worship of a heathen deity or entity, practices of necromancy, sex magick, and harvesting organs from a human body. The convicted were put to death at noon today in a undisclosed section of The Cede. Citizens with knowledge of Clerics practicing necromancy or organ harvesting should report their information directly to the Archbishop’s office during normal business hours.

When contacted, the Arch-Diocese stated that these events had been a long time coming and that they had “taken every opportunity to allow those who were convicted to mend their ways; however, once lost to darkness, some never find the light.”
